When you go on vacation
Out of the Office! You know how you set the out of office or vacation notification in your email to let people know you will be away? I think this should really be set daily the week leading to your vacation!
Here's what it would look like:
Day 1 – I will be leaving on vacation next week. Let me know how I can help so we get everything done before I leave.
Day 2 – I will be leaving on vacation next week. Just wanted to let you know. There is a lot going on so I will do my best to help you.
Day 3 – This week is really dragging. I can’t believe there is still four more days until I’m officially on vacation. Let me know what you need and I’ll see what I can do.
Day 4 – I can’t believe people think I am going to get anything done with only two days left. Really?! I would email someone else if I were you.
Day 5 – Vacation officially starts at the end of the day! To be honest, there is a 90% chance I didn’t even come in to work today so good luck!
