Communicating with contractors

Did your contractor get back to you?

I hear a lot from potential customers that contractors come out to look at a job and they never hear from him/her again. This leaves the customer very annoyed, or so they tell me. That would be very frustrating. However, I have to say the same goes for contractors. Those of us who come out and give estimates to potential customers would love to hear back. At our office, once we send out an estimate, we follow up a few days later. If we do not hear from them, we follow up again one week later. There is then one last effort via a phone call. After that, we write off the estimate. If you have a contractor who sends you an estimate, please let him/her know if you are not interested or went a different way. They can learn a lot from your feedback.
